Skykomish Sea Run November 22, 2013

This fish hit a septober caddis on the swing like a great white on a seal, coming straight out of the water on the take. Russ Stevenson and I floated from High Bridge to Sultan. There were a ton of salmon in the river but the A-run chrome was already starting to dwindle. The river was running about 1500cfs which I learned is just a bit below my comfort level on the sticks. Still a great day.

A lot of water under the bridge. Sold the Ultimate Flyfishing Machine in August and upgraded to a Clackacraft drift boat. 3/3 on floating the Skykomish with Noah catching pinks on our first two floats, and a healthy sea run to my hand on the third. The B-run fish should be in the river soon…
